Peninsula Friends of the Library

California 25th District Senator Roderick D. Wright honored several local women at a celebratory luncheon on Friday, March 5 at the Proud Bird Restaurant for being “Women of Distinction” in the 25th Senate District.

Each woman was recognized individually by Senator Wright and presented with a Senate Resolution. The women have excelled in every field from education and elected office to community activism and philanthropy. “It is women like these who have made tremendous sacrifices and contributions to our communities throughout history. They are proof that one woman can change the lives of many and make an enormous difference in our neighborhoods,” said Senator Wright.
