Book Sales, Friends of the Library

Did you attend the Peninsula Friends of the Library’s 80th Anniversary gala on February 6? If so, during the live auction you saw this sign projected to our guests. Yes, yes, yes–yes to everything our incredible Peninsula Library District has to offer.

So, this weekend, Friday and Saturday, February 19 and 20, it’s time to say yes to the monthly used book sale at Malaga Cove.  The hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. each day, and Malaga Cove Book Sale chairs Gene Roeder and Pat Foltz say that lots of new books have come in, plus thousands of others–and many are on sale from their already low prices.

Do you recognize this chin, or the incredibly beautiful library tie beneath it?

Someone many of you know wore this tie to the February 6 gala. If you shop at Malaga Cove this Friday or Saturday, be sure to give a high five to the hard-working man you  think it might belong to.

The Malaga Cove branch of the Peninsula Library District is located at 2400 Via Campesina, Palos Verdes Estates, if you don’t already know. There is a parking lot on Via Pinale for this library or there is lots of street parking. Just park as close as you can so we can load those boxes of books and media you buy.

Or, maybe you want to donate boxes of books or even just a few books.

For further information on the book sale, the famous tie, or donating, call 310-377-9584 x553. See you there!
