Peninsula Friends of the Library

It’s spring cleaning time so lots of new books and media are available this weekend at the Peninsula Friends of the Library four day Used Book Sale at the Peninsula Center Library.

Sale days and hours are: Thursday, March 4, 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.; Friday and Saturday, March 5 and 6, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., and Sunday, March 7, 1 to 5 p.m.

Though you will find materials available to buy in various categories, the March specials are cookbooks of all kinds, and music from old to new including 78s, vinyl records, CDs, cassettes, even sheet music. All are bargain priced.

The Peninsula Center Library is located at 701 Silver Spur Road, Rolling Hills Estates. For further information, call 310-377-9584,  ext. 264. The book sale room is located on the library’s administrative level right next to the parking area.

And since it is spring cleaning time, are you ready to donate your own books and media to the Peninsula Friends of the Library? Just bring your bags and boxes to either Peninsula Center, Malaga Cove or Miraleste libraries. If you are unable to deliver them yourself, call the number above to schedule a pick-up. All proceeds benefit library programs. Books are also sent to the Books for Troops program and the USO at LAX airport.
