Peninsula Friends of the Library

Have you started filling in dates for 2010 yet? Well, get your calendar out and put Saturday, February 6 on your calendar. That’s when the Peninsula Friends of the Library is celebrating the 80th Anniversary of the Palos Verdes Library District with an evening of magic and fun!

It might be winter weather outside, but the gala will be held on the Peninsula Center Library’s rooftop deck inside a cozy, warm party tent. Social hour will begin at 5:30 p.m. and guests will have the opportunity to bid on wonderful items in the Silent Auction. 

At 7:30 p.m. dinner will be served and we will be entertained by magicians and musicians. 

Chairwoman of  ”A Magical Evening” CC Yu says, This is the first major fundraiser for the District.  We are planning on a group of 500 people and the ticket cost will be $125.00 per person.” She also said that parking and shuttle buses will be available at the Promenade as well as from the Malaga Cove and Miraleste Libraries.
